Yasmin Ahmad

in her own words - tribute to Yasmin Ahmad

In Her Own Words is an art exhibition that pays tribute to the late Yasmin Ahmad, an award-winning Malaysian film director and writer. Her immortal words will serve as a reminder for us to celebrate humanity and universal love.

"i have never believed that race was ever a real issue when people hated one another. I have always found, without fail that racism was just surface stuff. When I scratched that surface and went just a little deeper, I invariably found that prejudice was rooted in more basic human weaknesses like fear or greed."

... in my own words - when i scratch a lil deeper, it is human instinct to the fear of death or dying which manifests as greed to hoarding, insecurities which comes in different manner...
in embracing death is when we start to truly live.
